Upcoming Malayalam movie Thoppil Joppan, starring Mammootty in the lead role, is one of the much awaited projects of the megastar this year. The makers of the Johny Antony directorial have announced that the audio launch of the big budget movie will be held at 7 p.m. on 21 September.
The grand launch event of Vidyasagar music will take place at Avenue Centre in Panampally Nagar, Ernakulam on Wednesday that will see the presence of Mammootty and other cast and crew of the family entertainer.
The 24-second teaser of Thoppil Joppan, featuring Mamta Mohandas, released on the YouTube page of Mammootty, was opened to a good response from the audience. It has already surpassed many existing records of recently released Malayalam movie teasers and has been viewed more than eight lakh times, even though Mammootty is not featured in the video.
Meanwhile, photos from the location and the movie's posters featuring Mammootty in Kottayan achayan (a term used to call Christian males) style like his look in the hit movie Kottayam Kunjachan have already raised the expectations of the audience from the film, which carries the tagline "50% love and 50% alcohol".
Thoppil Joppan is the fourth release of the megastar in 2016 after crime thriller Puthiya Niyamam, action thriller Kasaba and romantic entertainer White. The upcoming movie has been scheduled to hit the screens on 7 October, locking horns with superstar Mohanlal's big budget action thriller Pulimurugan, which is expected to hit more than 3,000 screens worldwide on the same day.
