Malayalam actor Prem Kumar was injured when his car hit a pickup truck near Attingal in Kerala on Thursday, October 20. The accident occurred when the 49-year-old comedian was travelling to Thiruvananthapuram with two others.
The trio was taken to a nearby hospital in Attingal. According to reports, they are being treated for minor injuries.
Prem Kumar has acted in over 100 projects with him playing the lead roles in as many as 18 movies. Some of his popular movies include Puthukkottayile Puthumanavalan, Saamoohyapaadam, Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava, Kaathil Oru Kinnaram, Ikkareyanente Manasam, American Ammayi, Parvathy Parinayam and Johnnie Walker.
Prem is also a recipient of Kerala State Television Best Actor Award for telefilm Lambo, which was telecast on Doordarshan. In the recent years, the 49-year-old has moved away from limelight and has been appearing in supporting roles. His recent movies, however, have failed to make a mark at the box office.
