Mahindra E20 was initially slated to be launched at the beginning of the year, but the unveiling was postponed indefinitely as E20 maker Mahindra & Mahindra were expecting tax sops from the 2013 Union budget to offer subsidies to car buyers.

Now, disappointed with no tax benefits extended towards electric car sales in the current 2013-14 Indian budget, automobile conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra is reportedly planning to go ahead with the E20 launch.

The new Mahindra E20 is set to hit the company's exclusive showrooms initially in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi with price tag of around ₹4,00,000.

The Mahindra E20 is reportedly manufactured in the company's state-of-art Bangalore unit and it is expected to make an annual production of 30,000 units per annum.
