Mahindra is quite a busy bee this year, especially with the testing of its upcoming compact SUV codenamed S101. The SUV has been caught on test yet again in the country, this time giving us almost a clear idea on the styling and shaping of the car.

Although we have seen enough snaps of the Mahindra S101 Compact SUV testing before, the heavy camouflage and the basic bulb on the taillights have obscured our view. Now with these new set of spy shots, it looks like Mahindra's next SUV offering is taking a good shape. Thanks to the folks at MotorBash for the new spy shots of the SUV test mule.

Things have not changed much from the previous spy images of the S101 SUV, including the camouflage that is covering the vehicle, but the test mule seen in the latest shots draws similarities to the Range Rover Evoque. Based on a new monocoque platform, the upcoming Mahindra SUV is expected to pull the wraps in late 2015. The vehicle, a sub four-meter compact SUV is likely to be powered by Mahindra's newly developed 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine and 1.5-liter three-cylinder mCR100 unit, which does the duty in the Quanto.

The vehicle is expected to integrate features such as auto climate control, steering mounted buttons for infotainment system along with safety features like ABS, EBD, 4 airbags and ESP. Once it reaches the market, the Mahindra S101 is likely to be pegged against the current front runner Ford EcoSport and the vehicle is likely to carry a price tag of ₹5-7 lakh. Though it's not yet confirmed, Mahindra's upcoming SUV is expected to be christened XUV300.

Beside S101, Mahindra is also gearing up for the launch of the new model of its iconic Scorpio and next generation Bolero (codenamed U301) in the country. The Mahindra Scorpio facelift, which is expected to make its debut in the next few months in the domestic market, was spied in the country recently. Under the hood, the Scorpio facelift is expected to pack the same 2.2 liter four cylinder turbocharged mHawk diesel engine, which powers the current model.
