Mahindra has been testing its new generation Bolero on Indian roads for quite some time now. Expected to be unveiled sometime in next year, the Bolero is likely to adopt an aggressive styling for its new avatar.

The auto enthusiasts in the country have already seen enough spy shots of the next generation Bolero and what we are waiting for is to see the SUV in its undisguised avatar. The latest spy shots of Bolero come from IndianAutos Blog reader Prabhakaran S and like in the earlier images, this test mule is also seen camouflaged, thus not giving much clue of how it looks like.

From what we have heard so far, the new generation Bolero will be riding on a hydroformed ladder-frame chassis and the model is likely to accommodate features like a larger screen infotainment system, newly styled dashboard with a central console, a three-spoke steering wheel and rectangular AC vents.

From the latest spy shots, it appears like the tail-lights and the tailgate mounted spare wheel of the Bolero have been placed up.

Though Mahindra has been coy about the specifications of the upcoming Bolero, it is said that the new Bolero will get power from Mahindra's new engine line-up, which includes 1.2 litre diesel and petrol motors, 1.6 litre diesel and petrol units, and a 1.5-litre diesel and there is also 1.5 litre petrol and a 1.0-litre petrol engine. Mahindra's upcoming S101 compact SUV will also be getting power from the new engines.
