It looks like we are inching closer to the launch of Mahindra's long-awaited Mojo 300. If the latest reports on the web are true, the dealers of the long awaited motorcycle have commenced the bookings for the model.

Oncars.in reports that the bookings for Mojo 300 are open in the country with a down payment of Rs 10,000. Mahindra Mojo is expected to be priced around Rs 2,00,000

Mojo 300 is likely to be powered by a 296cc liquid cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine, that can dish out a power of 27bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque 25nm at 6,500rpm. The transmission of Mojo will be taken care of by a six-speed gearbox. The stopping power of the bike is likely to come from the disc brakes seen on both front and rear wheels.

The Mojo is expected to include LED daytime-running lights and a new fuel tank. Other speculated features are mudguard, Pirelli Sport Demon tyres mounted on Y-spoke black alloy wheels and LED tail-light.

The highlight of Mojo 300 is said to be its USD (Up Side Down) forks and twin mufflers.

When launched, Mahindra Mojo 300 will take on the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 300R, Honda CBR 250R/300R and KTM Duke.

The bike is expected to be launched during the festive season this year.
