Mahindra Two Wheelers has rolled out a new variant of its Gusto 110cc scooter in India with a price tag of ₹49,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Dubbed Gusto HX, the variant sits above the base variant DX and below the top-trim Gusto VX. Powered by the same 110cc air-cooled petrol engine which can pump in a power of 8 bhp at 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 9 Nm at 5500 rpm, the new Gusto HX has a height adjustable seat.
However, the variant misses out on features like flip key and 'find-me' lights. Other features of Gusto include a front facing kick lever, tubeless tyres, telescopic suspension and LED pilot lights. The scooter will be available in six colours.
Gusto, Mahindra's latest in the scooter line-up rivals Honda Activa, Dio, TVS Jupiter Yamaha Ray, Alpha and Hero Maestro in India.
In another development, Honda introduced its new third generation Activa in India with a price tag of ₹48,852.
Activa 3G, which is powered by the same 110 cc engine 4-stroke single cylinder engine is available in five colours-Trance Blue Metallic, Lusty Red Metallic, Geny Grey Metallic, Black, and Pearl Amazing White.
The features list of the new Activa include comfortable sitting position, ample foot space , Combined Braking System, full metal body, tubeless tyres, keylock shutter and maintenance-free battery.
