As home-grown UV maker Mahindra prepares to welcome the all-new KUV100, more and more spy images of the new micro-SUV have started flooding the cyber space. In a fresh batch of images, the model is seen flaunting a red body shade.

Caught on camera by Team BHP, we can see the Mahindra KUV100 being loaded on to a truck, indicating that the shipment of the new mini-SUV model has begun. Mahindra will pull the wraps off its new KUV100 in India on 15 January. The bookings for KUV100 are already open in the country with a down payment of Rs 10,000.

Mahindra KUV100, targeting the sweet spot between a hatchback and an SUV, is expected to be pegged at a starting price of Rs 4 lakh. To be offered in four variants -- K2, K4, K6 and K8 -- with three sub-variants – K2+, K4+ and K6+ -- Mahindra KUV100 will be pinned to rival Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Tata Zica and Hyundai Grand i10.

Mahindra KUV100 can also be booked through M2ALL website powered by the company and according to this, the new min-SUV will be available in both 5 seater and 6 seater options. While the K2 and K2+ will come with 6 seater option only, from K4 onwards, the KUV100 will be available in both 5 and 6 seater options.

From what we know, the Mahindra KUV100 will get gear lever mounted on the dashboard just like the Datsun Go, a new multi-functions steering wheel and three vertically placed HVAC knobs on the centre console. The KUV100's infotainment system does not get touchscreen, but there is a display for multimedia information.

Riding on an all-new platform, under the hood, the Mahindra KUV100 (S101) will get the company's new engine mFalcon. To be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options, the petrol 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 is tuned to churn out 82bhp and 114NM, and the 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 diesel can develop 77bhp and a peak torque of 190Nm. The transmission is likely to be taken care of by five-speed manual gearbox in both the diesel and petrol version for now. It is also being said that the AMT could make it to the model later.

All variants of KUV100 will feature anti-lock braking system (ABS) as standard and will be available in 7 colours: Fiery Orange, Flamboyant Red, Dazzling Silver, Aquamarine, Pearl White, Designer Grey and Midnight Black.
