It looks like the UV-maker Mahindra is ready to launch a new avatar of the Bolero, what we have been calling as the mini-Bolero. A leaked image of the Bolero new has emerged online, confirming that the new SUV under sub-4 meter category will be named the Bolero Power+.

Mahindra has been testing this new Bolero mini on the Indian roads for quite some time now. While it is still not clear when this new offering will make its market entry, rumours are rife that the launch could happen soon.

The motor buffs at MotorOctane have shared an image of the Bolero Power+. Judging by the image, while the new Bolero stays very much within the style of the current model, a closer look at the picture reveals that it could get a re-worked front fascia with new headlights and bumper. Inside the cabin, the Bolero mini is expected to remain untouched and would continue the same as the existing model. According to the original publisher of the photograph, the Bolero Power+ will get a digital instrument cluster inside the cabin and will be a seven-seater model.

The major change is under the hood and the new Bolero Power+ will come powered by a three-cylinder, 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine that is de-tuned to churn out 70bhp and 240Nm, which does duty in the TUV300 and the NuvoSport. The transmission will be taken care of by a five-speed manual gearbox and rumours suggest that there will be a Micro-Hybrid system too. The Bolero Power+ is expected to deliver a fuel efficiency of 16.5 kmpl.

The Bolero Power+ will be the fourth compact SUV model from Mahindra's stable after the TUV300, the KUV100 and the Nuvosport.
