Mahhi Vij buys Rs 50 lakh Mini Cooper to fulfill daughter Tara's wish days after divorce
On Sunday, Mahhi took to Instagram again to share a glimpse of her post-divorce life, gifting herself a brand-new Mini Cooper, reportedly worth nearly Rs 50 lakh. The luxury purchase came weeks after announcing her separation from actor-TV host Jay Bhanushali. While the car grabbed attention, what truly stood out was Jay's reaction, even after their separation.
In the reel shared by Mahhi on social media, she gave fans a glimpse of the new car and the intimate celebration as she and daughter Tara welcomed it home. Jay shared Mahhi's video on his Instagram story and congratulated both Mahhi and Tara. He also commented on Mahhi's post, simply writing, "Congratulations."
In the clip, shared by Jay, he is seen congratulating Mahhi and his daughters, Tara and Khushi. He asked his daugther Tara if he could touch the car, she obliged by saying yes.
Jay then took photos with Tara and Khushi. Jay shared a photo of Mahhi and Tara posing proudly with the new Mini Cooper on his Instagram handle.
Jay also said that Tara is twining in the shade of blue with the colour of a Mini Cooper.
Along with the video, Mahhi explained why she decided to gift the car to her daughter. She revealed that when Tara was just four years old, she had once expressed a wish to own a Mini Cooper. At the time, Mahhi said she couldn't afford it and also questioned whether such a luxury was necessary for a child. However, years later, she could fulfil her daugther's wish.
"This isn't about luxury at all. This is about her wish," Mahhi wrote.
"So here I am, giving my little girl her favourite car, not to spoil her, but to gift her a moment, a story, a memory that she will remember all her life. Our little drives together, our laughter, our time, this is priceless," she added.
The video went viral and received mixed responses from fans, with many lauding the couple for their strong co-parenting bond, while others said it should have been Jay gifting Mahhi the car and the flat.
Some fans even questioned how a four-year-old child could know and wish for a Mini Cooper.
