Mahesh Babu's "1-Nenokkadine" is getting bigger and better. Renowned Bollywood production house Eros International has purchased the rights of the Mahesh starrer for a whopping amount.

With "1-Nennokkadine", Eros has forayed into the Telugu film industry, which is deemed as India's second largest film industry, next to Bollywood. According to reports, the production house has acquired the film for whopping ₹72 crore.

The stylish action thriller is produced by 14 Reels Entertainment, the production house that promoted "Dookudu" and made it a big hit. Since Eros has tied up with 14 Reels, "1-Nenokkadine" is likely to be released in several countries. "It will be released in as many screens as possible. This widens the film's market," a close source told Deccan Chronicle.

While Eros is investing in the film, the production and distribution will be taken care by 14 Reels. Eros is the second production company to have entered the Telugu market with Mahesh Babu's film. In October, UTV Motion Pictures announced their first Telugu venture with Mahesh Babu. The untitled film to be directed by Koratala Siva of "Mirchi" fame will go on floors in July 2014.

"1-Nenokkadine" is one of the most-awaited films of 2014. The film has been extensively shot in London and Belfast (Ireland). The action entertainer reportedly has high quality action sequences, reported idlebrain.

The film's satellite rights have been sold for a higher price to a leading Telugu channel. DC reported that Gemini channel has purchased the satellite rights for ₹12.5 crore, which is the highest for a Telugu film till date.

There has been tremendous competition to buy the film's audio rights. "1-Nenokkadine" will have music by Devi Sri Prasad, who is composing the songs for the first time in a Mahesh Babu film.

The film's audio launch will be held on 19 December. The music launch is expected to be a grand affair with the presence of the film's cast and crew. The makers of "1-Nenokkadine" are planning a unique strategy to promote the film. Accordingly, the main audio launch event, which will be held in Hyderabad, will be screened live in select theatres. Details about the theatres are expected to be out soon.

The film's shooting is almost completed. A song will be shot in Mumbai from 11 December. However, the post production work is already going on in full swing.

"1-Nenokkadine" is all set to hit the screens on 10 January 2014 to cash in on the Sankranti festival holidays. It is not clear whether the film will have a solo release worldwide. Buzz is that Ram Charan's "Yevadu" will be hitting screens around the same time.

This year (2013), both the actors' films clashed at the box office during Sankranti festival. The films "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" and "Naayak" turned out to be big hits. Similarly, Mahesh and Ram Charan's upcoming films are expected to become big hits in 2014.
