If the latest reports are to be believed, Mahesh Babu might team up with director VV Vinayak for a new project.

In a recent interview, Vinayak had stated that he might be working the "Aagadu" actor next year, reported 123telugu. However, an official announcement regarding the project is still awaited. If the reports of Mahesh-Vinayak film turns out be true, then it will be the first film in their combo.

Mahesh Babu, whose "Aagadu" hit the screens recently, will next be seen in Koratala Siva's film. The shooting was initially slated to commence on 5 October, but was pushed by four days. It is now expected to go on floors on 9 October. Shruti Haasan will be playing the female lead for the first time opposite the superstar of Telugu cinema. The project will be produced by Mythri Movies.

There are also reports that Mahesh will be teaming up with director Puri Jagannadh after completing the Koratala Siva film.

Puri is currently busy with his upcoming film with Jr NTR, which is expected to hit the screens during Sankranti 2015. His project with Mahesh Babu is expected to go on floors after the actor-director duo complete their current projects.

It is also being said that Mahesh Babu will be doing a multi-starrer along with Tamil superstar Rajinikanth under the production of veteran producer Suryanarayana Babu.

"Rajini agreed, and he said that once he completes his two-film commitment with Eros, he will start the shoot," Suryanarayana was quoted as saying by The Times of India. The "Dookudu" actor has his hands full with multiple projects.

On the other hand, Vinayak's name has been associated with Chiranjeevi's 150th film, which will be the actor's comeback project after five years. There are also speculations that the director might helm Akhil Akkineni's (Nagarjuna-Amala's son) debut film. However, there is no official announcement as to whether Vinayak will be directing these two projects. The director's last project was "Alludu Seenu," which marked the debut of producer Bellamkonda Suresh's son Srinivas.
