American 2K Games has released a new trailer of upcoming action-adventure video game "Mafia 3" that showcases the Italian Mafia family, The Marcanos, and the game's protagonist, Lincoln Clay. The minute-long video reveals the way in which the Marcano family took control of the city.
It notes that they started by being ruthless and showing no mercy. They were not known to be loyal and their rise reeks of stories of betrayal. The video also shows some of the businesses that the family began to control, which included gambling.
They instilled fear in the hearts of their enemies and it was one such instance that gave birth to the game's protagonist, Lincoln Clay. Clay is an orphan and Vietnam War veteran, who returns to find his family killed by the Italian mafia. The brutal act changes Clay's life. Now, his only aim is to avenge the death of his family and misdeeds of the Marcano family.
Clay raises a new family that includes the likes of Haitian Syndicate leader Cassandra and Irish Syndicate head honcho Thomas Burke.
Recently a new video of a Heist was also released at the Gamescom 2016 which showed the betrayal that Clay's family suffered at the hands of the Marcano family.
The game is available for pre-order (in India too) and 2K Games is offering Family Kick-Back pack as bonus, which will be inclusive of three exclusive vehicles and weapons. Players will also chance upon an official t-shirt.
Players from India, who pre-order, will receive Mafia 3 Steelbook, as a Games The Shop exclusive.
"Mafia 3" is expected to be released on Oct. 7 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
