macOS 10.12.5 released with USB headphones audio fix and patch for Windows 10 installation issues

Apple has just rolled out its latest maintenance update for macOS with v10.12.5 release, along with similar bug-fix updates for iOS, tvOS and watchOS. The newly-released macOS update addresses issues with USB headphones and broken Windows 10 installations, besides improving Mac App Store compatibility with forthcoming updates as well as adding the underlying framework for future macOS releases.

The next major upgrade of macOS is expected to be previewed by Apple at its forthcoming Annual Developers Conference in June. Meanwhile, interested users may go ahead and install the latest macOS update via Mac App Store's Updates tab.

macOS Sierra 10.12.5 update

Some of the noteworthy app updates being released alongside macOS 10.12.5 include: Safari 10.1.1 patch and the iTunes 12.6.1 update, wherein the former will fix a bunch of WebKit-related exploits that enable address-bar spoofing and transmission of malicious content to infected systems, while the latter brings some app and performance improvements alongside a fix for a Webkit exploit on Windows 7 and later.

The new Safari bug-fix update is also available for download on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and OS X El Capitan 10.11.6, besides macOS Sierra 10.12.5. Meanwhile, iTunes users may go ahead and download the latest update for Mac and Windows, using the links posted here and here.
