New Delhi, July 31 (ANI): Lt Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag on Thursday took charge as the new Indian Army Chief. Suhag has succeeded Gen Bikram Singh who has been the Army Chief since past 2 years. Singh had earlier visited Amar Jawan Jyoti before demitting office and received the Guard of Honour at New Delhi’s India Gate. Singh also congratulated Suhag on taking office. 59-year-old Lt General Suhag, a Gurkha officer who had participated in the 1987 Indian Peace Keeping Force operation in Sri Lanka, will have 30-month tenure.
