Srinagar/ Hyderabad/ Ayodhya, Oct 06 (ANI): Kashmir marked low-key Eid al-Adha celebrations, as Muslims congregated in open-air grounds for morning prayers on Monday, after the devastating floods in the province last month that left hundreds dead and thousands homeless. More than 75,000 people have been affected in partly submerged homes in Srinagar, where roads have been transformed into stagnant canals strewn with wreckage, trash and dead animals. The festival commemorates the Prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail to God. A resident of Srinagar said there was less enthusiasm among the people so celebrations are muted because of the deluge.
