A man in a black Zorro costume carrying a plastic sword has been detained by the Los Angeles police. People at the Los Angeles International Airport were evacuated following reports of an active shooter's presence at the premises. However, the LA Police Department has concluded that the shots were just loud noises.
The passengers at the airport were tweeting about a shooter being present inside the airport and shots being heard. According to reports, police are at the scene taking control.
"All precautions being taken to ensure safety of public. Remain calm. Thank you for your co-operation." LA Airport PD posted on Twitter.
Tweeting about the incident in a string of posts, one of the passengers at the airport, Lester Holt said, "Arriving at LAX off flight when people started pouring out of term 4 onto Tarmac."
"Security said 'shots fired. Run!'"
