Right after Bollywood's star couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor tied the knot last week, another actress Lisa Ray got hitched to her banking executive boyfriend Jason Dehni.
The couple exchanged vows at a quiet ceremony in Napa valley, California, on Oct 20. The wedding reception will be held in India.
For the big day, Lisa wore a crystal-encrusted gown designed by Wendell Rodricks . Later, she wore an off-white georgette sari with golden border and traditional gota opatti work designed by Satya Paul.
The wedding ceremony in California was attended by around 110 guests. Her close friends Rahul Khanna, Deepa Mehta and Wendell Rodricks couldn't attend the wedding, but congratulated the actress on social networking sites.
"We are overjoyed. This wedding exceeded all our expectations. I am overjoyed to be joined with my soul mate Jason. The wedding went on during the entire weekend. The theme was love. We celebrated the Revival of Love," Lisa told The Times of India, hours after her wedding.
"Besides sealing our love and union in front of our beloved friends and family, this weekend in sheer paradise showed how one can bounce back to life after facing tough challenges. We are now off to Bora Bora. Lost to humanity for a while," she added.
The newlywed couple are now off for their honeymoon to Bora Bora island.
The Indian-Canadian actress had been dating Dehni for quite a sometime and got engaged to him in Napa valley this February.
"Just returned from the glorious Napa Valley - the gourmand's and wine-lovers' paradise. ENGAGED to the love of my life. Jason Dehni proposed in Napa. #happiestdayever", she tweeted in February.
Lisa made her Bollywood debut with 2001 film "Kasoor" opposite Aftab Shivdasani. She was highly praised for her performance in Deepa Mehta's "Water" in 2005.
