'Lingaa' Posters: Makers Release Rajinikanth Stills, Behind-the-Scenes Photos Featuring AR Rahman

Rajinikanth's upcoming magnum opus "Lingaa", starring Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty in the lead is set to release in over 3,000 screens worldwide on the superstar's birthday, 12 December. 

The film's team is now busy with the post production works of the Rajinikanth starrer.

Rajinikanth plays a double role in the action drama film, directed by KS Ravikumar. The collaboration of the actor-director duo has raised expectations from "Lingaa" as their previous movies "Muthu" and "Padayappa" were blockbusters.

Apart from the style hero Rajinikanth's performance, AR Rahman's music and R Rathnavelu's cinematography are said to be the highlights of the film. The multilingual drama is slated to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously. 

The Rajinikanth starrer has been in the news for quite some time now. Earlier, an aspiring film-maker named KR Ravi Rathinam filed a petition in the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court alleging that the upcoming film's team had stolen the storyline of his film, based on the Mullaperiyar dam issue.

However, on Wednesday, the Madurai bench dismissed the petition. Rajinikanth, who slammed the claims of the film-maker, said that the plagiarism issue had tarnished his reputation.

Meanwhile, the "Lingaa" team has released some posters, featuring Rajinikanth and some behind-the-scenes photos of AR Rahman, Srinivas and PA Deepak. Check the pictures in the above slideshow.
