Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor is often subjected to trolling on social media. The comment section of his Instagram posts is frequently filled with brutal and bitter remarks, with netizens mocking him left, right and centre.
However, the tables have now turned, as a section of fans has come out in support of the actor, urging trolls to stop targeting him.
On Tuesday, Arjun Kapoor penned a heartfelt note for his late mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor, on her birth anniversary, revealing that life has been "cruel" to him lately. The actor shared a short letter addressed to his mother, promising that he would fight through everything and rise again. He also thanked her for teaching him how to face life with strength and dignity.
Resharing a collage of throwback pictures of himself with Mona—originally posted by a fan page on Instagram, Arjun wrote, "Happy birthday Maa, I miss u so much today ???? Life's been kinda cruel to me lately but it's ok."
He further added, "I've taken the punches before, I'll take 'em again & still rise... because u taught me how to fight by standing up, facing life head on while being graceful & dignified thru it all. We will ride it out together, U & I ❤️ I'll see u again soon & we will celebrate ur bday together someday... Your loving son, Arjun."
Soon after he shared the post, several celebrities, including Janhvi Kapoor, Zoya Akhtar, Veer Pahariya, Rakul Preet Singh, Parmeet Sethi, Khushi Kapoor and Aparshakti Khurana, flooded the comments section with heart emojis.
Arjun's emotional post comes amid relentless trolling he has been subjected to, with criticism often aimed at both his acting career and personal life. Following his note, many netizens came forward to express their support for the actor.
Arjun Kapoor's ex-girlfriend, actor Malaika Arora, also reacted to the post with a red heart emoji.
One user wrote, "I feel people need to stop trolling him because you never know what someone is going through. Plus, the line about life being cruel to him is just heartbreaking."
One fan wrote, "Please don't mock him. He has had enough.."
While another added, "It's scary how easily we write things to people. More power to you, Arjun. You're already enough just as you are. #IgnoreTheTrolls."
For the unversed, Malaika and Arjun ended their six-year relationship in 2024 but continue to share a cordial and mature bond. Recently, Malaika even referred to Arjun as an integral part of her life, and the two have been seen maintaining a warm relationship in public.
