South Korean consumer electronics giant LG on Friday expanded its flagship Optimus L smartphone series with the launch of low cost Optimus L4-2 and L4-2 dual.

LG Optimus L4-2 (single SIM variant) and L4-2 dual went on sale in Russia starting 5990 Rubles (roughly around 10,600) soon after the launch but the details regarding the availability of the smartphone in other regions, including Indian markets is still under wraps.

Apart from additional SIM slot, Optimus L4-2 dual pack the same specifications of the single SIM variant; it sports 3.8-inch HVGA IPS screen with 480x320p display resolutions and run on Android mobile OS v4.1 Jelly Bean powered by 1GHz single-core processor with 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB via micro SD card.

The only difference between the single-SIM Optimus L4-2 and L4-2 dual is that the former has home button with LED notification support whereas the latter has an additional dedicated switch key for swap between the two standby SIMs.

Optimus L4-2 smartphones is the fourth Optimus L series variant from the South Korean company this year. It had unveiled L3-2, L5-2 and L7-2 with varied price margins in February
