LG G Stylo Is A New Mid-Ranger That Supports Up To 2TB StorageReuters

LG G2, the successor of LG Optimus G, was launched by the tech giant on Aug.7, 2013 in USA and the flagship device will hit the Indian market on Sept. 30.

The device is expected to give a cut-throat competition to the existing smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, Moto X, Galaxy Note III and the newly launched iPhone5S.

The existing smartphones such as HTC One, Moto X and Samsung Galaxy S4 have been at loggerheads with each other, but with the entry of LG G2, it is difficult to decide which one will be a better choice. The main competition can be predicted between the three flagship devices - Moto X, HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.

LG G2

LG has done immense amount of experiment with this device and has finally come out with a smartphone with a lot of fresh features in terms of hardware. LG experimented with placement of power and volume buttons on the handset, which now can be seen under the main camera module on the back cover.

"Moving the main buttons to the back of the phone gives users more control since this place is where individuals' index fingers are naturally placed," LG explained in a press release.

The LG G2 any day wins the game in terms of processor, as it is equipped with 2.26 GHz quad-core processor, which is more powerful than octa-core processor carried by Samsung Galaxy S4.

LG wins another point with its display, thanks to its 5.2 inch Full HD interface, with a screen resolution of 1080X1920 pixels. Along with a rear facing camera of 13 megapixels and front-facing camera of 2.1 megapixels, the device has an internal storage capacity of 16GB to 32GB and a RAM of 2GB.

The phone runs on Android 4.2.2, which is a little disappointing as the device could have upgraded the OS to Android 4.3, which was recently launched by Google. The device will be available in two colors, black and white.

In the past, the brand had fallen behind other tech giants such as Samsung and HTC that continuously made their presence felt in the market, while LG appeared to have gone missing.

The pre-order of LG G2, 32GB variant in USA is still functional, for $620 and the device will be shipped on Sept. 27. The device is available in two colors black and white.

Moto X

Moto X, Motorola's first smartphone after the company collaborated with Google, was launched in the market recently and said to be just like any other smartphone in the market.

Like LG G2, Moto X also carries Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Operating System. But, in terms of mobile computing system, Moto X carries Motorola's new X8, which is technically a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor. Motorola has also experimented a lot with the smartphone, since the company was jumping into the smartphone world and had to consider the tough competition with other advanced phones. The flagship device carries GPU for gaming and also comes with two separate co-processor for managing the X's sensors, reported Mashable.

The Battery back-up of the smartphone is considered to be good as it carries a 2,000 mAh battery and the smartphone can handle both Facebook application and gaming together, even if the power is low.

Moto X carries a display of 4.7 inch with a resolution of 1280X720 pixels and has added a quirky element called "Moto Maker" to the smartphone, which allows the customers to design the handset according to their taste and preferences.

The camera comparatively is not as good as LG G2, as it carries a 10 megapixel camera but Moto X is compatible with all kinds of networks such as 2G, 3G and 4G LTE.

The price of the smartphone is $200 for the 16GB variant and $249 for the 32GB variant with a two year contract with five US carriers.

HTC One

HTC One has garnered a lot of appreciation for its metal design but the smartphone is no different from Moto X when it comes to the display. It also sports a 4.7 inch but comes with a different screen resolution of 1920X1080 pixels, noted Phandroid.

HTC One is the flagship device by the Taiwanese company, which has taken the standard of smartphones at another level. The handset is powered by 1.7 GHz quad-core processor with a Snapdragon 600 but it runs on the older version of operating system Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, even though Google has already released the latest OS, Android 4.3. The device has a battery backup of 2,300 mAh battery.

Though, HTC One has been appreciated for its design and some of its features , it lags behind when it comes to the internal storage, since the smartphone does not have a micro SD slot and does not have a removable battery.

The flagship device costs around $600 for the 32GB variant and $650 for the 64GB variant.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S4

Samsung Galaxy S4 was the first to be launched in the market amongst all the above handsets and is considered to be the best smartphone with unbeatable features. But the phone lacks when it comes to design.

The display of the Galaxy S4 is of 5 inches with a screen resolution of 1920X1080 pixels. There are additional features like new camera tools and additional sensors, which make the handset stand out from its other competitors.

It sports a camera of 13 megapixels and it runs on 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Along with all the great features the smartphone is also powered by a 1.9GHz quad-core processor and has been recently updated to Snapdragon 800.

The 16 GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 costs about $605 on Amazon.
