LG G3 Roundup: Expected Specifications, Release Date Details
Journalists look at the new LG G2 smart phone following its debut at a news conference in New York.Reuters

South Korean consumer electronics giant, LG has launched the 4G-LTE version of company's flagship model G2 in India.

With the announcement, LG becomes third smartphone maker after Xolo and Apple to launch a device with 4G-network support in India.

LG had launched G2 way back in September last year, but due to lack of 4G network coverage, the company had released a 3G model instead in the subcontinent. Now, since Airtel is already providing LTE support for smartphones (currently only in Bangalore for Apple iPhone 5S and 5C) and Reliance Jio services to take-off in September, LG has strategically released the G2 LTE in India.

The new model comes in two variants - 16GB and 32GB with price tags - ₹46,000 and ₹49,000 respectively, reported AndroidOS.

Apart from supporting higher network bandwidth (five times faster internet speed), 4G model houses same specifications seen inside 3G variant. LG G2 sports 5.2-inch True IPS LCD screen with full HD (1920x1080p) resolutions having pixel density of 423 ppi (pixels per inch).

Under the hood, it ships with Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS (KitKat update awaited), 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB (expandable up to 64GB). It also packs 13.0-megapixel camera (with LED flash, OIS, HDR, full HD video recording and more), 2.1-megapixel front camera and a 3000 mAh battery.

One aspect of the LG G2 that makes the phone stand apart is its ergonomically design body having power button and volume rockers on the back panel (below camera module) for easy access to the index finger, unlike other handsets which features physical keys on the edges.

Besides, LG G2 LTE, the company also announced that the recently unveiled fitness band 'Lifeband Touch' will be made available in second half of the 2014. It boasts of OLED touch-screen with 3-axis Accelerometer, Altimeter, wireless syncing with LG fitness app, music controls and is compatible with Android devices (with v4.3, v4.4 KitKat and only v4.2 based LG G2 and Samsung Galaxy S4) as well as Apple iPhones (iOS v6 and v7.0) and iPod Touch.
