LG has finally announced its G Flex smartphone that features a flexible screen, just like Samsung Galaxy Round.

The device comes with loads of new features and resembles the company's recently launched flagship model G2, in terms of basic design. G Flex, like G2, sports a back button, placed below the camera for users' ease and quick access.

Along with its launch, which is limited to Korea for now, the rumoured specifications have been confirmed for the device.

For users to understand where the smartphone really falls, in terms of under-the-hood performance and specifications, the device has been compared with the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Nokia Lumia 1520.

Following is the comparison, according to GSM Arena (Samsung and Nokia) and the information provided by Engadget on G Flex:

Display

Galaxy Note 3: 5.7in Super AMOLED Full HD (1080 x 1920) display with 386ppi pixel density.

Lumia 1520: 6in IPS LCD Full HD (1080 x 1920) display with 367ppi pixel density.

G Flex: 6in Curved Plastic OLED HD (1280 x 720) display. The pixel density has not been mentioned.

Memory

Galaxy Note 3: Comes with 16/32/64GB in-built storage memory and supports microSD card up to 64GB. The device also features 3GB RAM.

Lumia 1520: Comes with only 32GB in-built storage option and supports microSD card up to 64GB. The device supports 2GB RAM.

G Flex: Has been announced with only 32GB in-built storage option and no information on the external memory support. The device however comes with 2GB RAM.

Camera

Galaxy Note 3: 13 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front camera.

Lumia 1520: 20 megapixel rear and 1.2 megapixel front camera.

G Flex: 13 megapixel rear and 2.1 megapixel front camera.

Galaxy Note 3: LTE model comes with 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.

Lumia 1520: 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with Windows Phone 8 Black OS. The device comes with Adreno 330 GPU for handling graphics.

G Flex: 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. The device comes with Adreno 330 GPU for handling graphics.

Galaxy Note 3: Includes 4G LTE network along with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 and NFC.
