Meerut, Feb 24 (ANI): A high alert has been sounded in Meerut as a leopard has strayed into the city and injured at least two persons creating panic and prompting administration to order closure of schools and colleges. The big cat entered the Cantonment Hospital, and was spotted by a caretaker as it was entering the male ward, where three patients were undergoing treatment. Soon after that, the Army was called in to catch the irritated wild cat and protect the civilians. District administration has also appealed for closure of markets in the city as forest administration and army officials failed to trace the feline.
