Lenovo currently sells phones of two brands — one of its own Vibe and the other is Motorola's Moto series in India. Now, the company is all set to debut its third brand, ZUK Z1, in the country next month.

The company has begun sending cryptic invites to select media houses with the caption—"Z1 is coming," without revealing the launch date of the device.

A source with the knowledge of Lenovo's plans confirmed to International Business Times India that the company would launch the ZUK Z1 next month, but refrained from revealing the specific date.

The report comes just hours after Lenovo unveiled the new ZUK Z2 Pro in Beijing.

Will Lenovo's old ZUK Z1 find any takers in India?

For the uninitiated, the new ZUK Z1 was first unveiled in China in August 2015. Though it is more than eight months old, Z1 is a very compelling device as it comes with top-notch features and costs just Â¥1700 (around $276/€250/₹17,860) in China. It will definitely find many takers in a price-sensitive market like India.

It sports a premium metal-frame around its corner, which provides a sturdy structure so that the phone will be able to withstand accidental drops.

On the front, ZUK Z1 sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with speaker-grill on top (middle) and an 8MP snapper on the right side. It also houses a feature-rich 13MP Sony Exmor RS camera sensor on the back with dual LED flash, OIS (Optical Image Stabiliser) and aptly supported by photography enhancing apps.

One of the key highlights of the ZUK Z1 is that it ships with massive 4,100 mAh battery, which can keep the phone running for close to 38 hours of 4G talk time and up to 526 hours (more than 21 days) under standby mode.

Other notable features include U-Touch, a fingerprint security feature on the home button and the reversible Type C USB port. International ZUK Z1 model runs Android Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS, but in India, it is expected to come with Androi's latest Marshmallow-based Cyanogen OS 13.

Under the hood, it houses 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 series quad-core CPU, Adreno 330 graphics engine, 3GB LPDDR 3 series RAM and 64GB (eMMC 5.0) storage.
