Chinese consumer electronics giant Lenovo announced a new entry-level handset dubbed as the Vibe A in Russia.

The new Vibe A is said to be a variant of the popular A1000 series and also the company's cheapest smartphone, Helpix reported.

Lenovo Vibe A sports 4.0-inch WVGA TFT display and comes with Spreadtrum quad-core CPU, 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt storage, 5MP camera with LED flash on the back, VGA snapper on the front and a 1700mAh Li-Polymer battery.

It is expected to be released in Russia soon, but there is no word on device's price and also whether it will be made available outside Russia.

Going by the spec-sheet, Lenovo will have tough time selling the device even in price-sensitive market like India. Lenovo Vibe A's features are out-dated, but if priced low, it may attract first time smartphone buyers.

Just a few days back, Lenovo unveiled Vibe C2 in Russia. It features a 5.0-inch screen, MediaTek quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt storage and a 2,750mAh battery.
