Lenovo has released the K6 Note in India at Rs 13,999 for the 32GB internal memory and 3GB RAM variant (64GB ROM+4GB RAM version yet to be launched). The device has impressive specifications and the pricing is reasonable too, but it will face stiff competition with over a dozen budget smartphones that are currently available in the Indian market.

Going by the pricing, the Lenovo K6 Note will take on the Moto G4 Plus that is priced at Rs 13,499 for the 16GB ROM+2GB RAM and Rs 14,999 for the 32GB ROM+32GB RAM version. It will also compete with the Xiaomi Mi Max, which is priced at Rs 14,999.

Display

Both the Lenovo K6 Note and Moto G4 Plus sport a 5.5-inch full HD IPS LCD screen with 1,920x1,080p (401 ppi pixel density), while Xiaomi Mi Max features a bigger screen -- 6.44-inch display with 1,080x1,920 pixels (342 ppi pixel density).

Processor

The Lenovo K6 Note is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, compared to Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 seen in the Moto G4 Plus, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 in Xiaomi Mi Max.

Operating system

All the devices run Android Marshmallow

Storage and RAM

The Moto G4 Plus comes packed with a 16/32GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card) and a 2/3GB RAM. The Lenovo K6 Note and Xiaomi Mi Max also feature same storage -- 32GB storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card) and 3GB RAM.

Camera

The Lenovo K6 Note mounts a 16MP camera with dual-LED flash and PDAF, and an 8MP camera with fixed focus, while Xiaomi Mi Max has a 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash, and a 5MP front-snapper with f/2.0 aperture. On the other hand, the Moto G4 Plus has 16MP main camera with OmniVision Pure Cel Plus sensor, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and dual-LED flash, and a 5MP camera with wide-angle lens.

Battery

The Xiaomi Mi Max is powered by a 4,850mAh battery compared to 4,000mAh in Lenovo K6 Note and 3,000mAh with Turbo charger in Moto G4 Plus.

Conclusion

The devices are almost even with a few similar features like operating system and storage. The Xiaomi Mi Max has a much bigger screen but the Lenovo K6 Note and Moto G4 Plus have better screen resolution. The Mi Max has the edge over the other two devices in terms of processor, while the Moto G4 Plus has superior camera.
