The wait for Lenovo's latest K5 Note is almost over. The premium budget smartphone market in India will get a new competition as the demand for smartphones continues to rise. The Chinese smartphone maker has already confirmed that the K5 Note will be launched on Aug. 1, where all the mysteries about the new device will finally be put to rest.
Fans all around the country can watch the K5 Note launch from the comfort of their homes and also use virtual reality headsets to get front row experience as the company will live stream the event on YouTube. The event is set to begin at 3 p.m. on Monday. Lenovo has shared the link from where the event can be livestreamed.
Lenovo has been teasing features of the K5 Note on social media to build hype ahead of the anticipated launch. Despite the handset's original launch in China in January, Lenovo has managed to build suspense around the K5 Note by teasing features that were not seen in the China variant. If the Lenovo teasers are any indication, then the K5 Note is going to be a lot different than we expected.
Previously, Lenovo teased the K5 Note's design in a half-a-minute video on Twitter and also confirmed that the handset will feature 4GB RAM to handle multi-tasking with ease. Prepare for some more surprises at the launch of the handset.
A lot of improvements are expected to be seen in the Indian variant of the K5 Note. The China variant of the model features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, 1.8GHz MediaTek Helio P10 processor, dual SIM support, 13MP primary camera with PDAF and LED flash and an 8MP front snapper. These specs are likely to be the same, but there is a possibility that the company might offer 32GB storage in its Indian variant.
