Chinese tech giant Lenovo unveiled its 4G LTE smartphone, A6000, in India on Friday just a few days after announcing at the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show 2015 (CES 2015). It will take on other budget smartphones, especially Xiaomi Redmi 1s which received great response in India.
Interestingly, Lenovo A6000 will also be sold on Flipkart through flash sale like Xiaomi Redmi 1s. Registration for the device started on 16 January and closes on 27 of this month before the sales begins the next day at 2 pm IST.
Xiaomi made good business in India in the second half of 2014 with its Redmi 1s selling like hot cake but Lenovo A6000 will give it a run for its money now.
The Lenovo A6000 sports a 5-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS screen display and have features like Qualcomm Snadragon 410 processor, Android 4.4.4 KitKat, 8GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB) and 1GB RAM, 8MP main camera and 2MP front snapper, and 2300 mAh battery. It is aggressively priced at ₹6,999.
On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi 1s sports a 4.7-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels (312 ppi pixel density), powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8228 processor and run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It has features like 1 GB RAM, 8GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB), 8 MP main camera and 1.6MP front snapper, and Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery. It is priced at ₹5,999.
