LeEco will be holding the first-ever flash sale for its premium range of 4K smart television sets, tagged under "Super3" series, in India on August 26. Unlike traditional TV-sales method, LeEco's TV range will be on sale online through Flipkart and LeMall.com and registrations for the flash sale are mandatory.

LeEco's premium television sets are getting good response in India as the company confirmed that they have received 10,000 registrations for its Super3 X55, X65 and Max65 4K Smart LED TVs. The entry-level model, with its 55-inch screen, is priced at Rs. 59,790, while the Super3 X65 and Max65, both with 65-inch screens, cost Rs. 99,790 and Rs. 1,49,790, respectively.

LeEco had a successful run with its smartphones in India, and it has now forayed into the premium television market with its three models. Currently, the television market in India is led by brands such as Samsung, LG and Sony, and considering LeEco's pricing of the new TV models, there will be certain amount of disruption.

There are of course some challenges such as LeEco's brand value in the television market against the well-established rivals, but it is too soon to tell how the company leaves a mark in this new category.

For the price, LeEco's Super3 TVs strike quite an appeal. All TVs come with two years of free LeEco Membership, two years of manufacturer warranty and four years of panel warranty. The TVs are powered by Cortex A17 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, which is paired with 3GB RAM and 16GB storage in the 65-inch models and 2GB RAM and 8GB storage in the 55-inch variant.

The SuperTVs also come with integrated Dolby powered stereo, Super Remote Control 3.0 with built-in mic and run Android 5.1 Lollipop based company's EUI 5.6 OS.
