Chinese internet media giant LeEco is reportedly planning to launch a new advanced Pro model of the recently unveiled Le Max 2 in Beijing next week.

The company via Weibo has teased a new smartphone, which many believe it to be the long rumoured Le Max 2 Pro. It is scheduled to make the official debut on June 29.

Word on the street is that LeEco Le Max 2 Pro will share the same design language of the original Le Max 2, but will have four key upgrades in terms of internal hardware.

Here's expected features of LeEco Le Max 2 Pro:

Display and Design:

The new phone is expected to flaunt a near-zero bezel display with curved corners having all-metal body like Le Max 2. It will also have the same fingerprint sensor on the back, just below the primary camera module.

In the front, it is said sport a 5.7-inch QHD (2560x1440p) screen having a staggering pixel density of 538 ppi (pixels per inch).

Processor:

LeEco Max 2 comes with 64-bit class 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core CPU, whereas the Pro model is said to house more powerful and faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 (re-branded version of Snapdragon 823), which can clock a maximum speed of 2.3GHz. It will be backed by Adreno 530 graphics engine.

RAM:

When LeEco Max 2 made its debut in April, it was one among handful devices to boast 6GB RAM. Now, the upcoming Le Max 2 Pro is slated to be the world's first smartphone to house 8GB RAM.

Storage:

LeEco Max 2 Pro is said to house 128GB inbuilt memory, double that of the original model. The new phone can also be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

Camera:

LeEco's current flagship Le Max 2 houses 21MP camera with Sony IMX230 sensor, dual-tone LED flash, 6-Physocal lens, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), f/2.0 aperture and 8MP wide-angle front camera.

The upcoming Le Max 2 Pro is touted to feature more advanced 25MP camera on the back. However, it will come packed with the same 8MP snapper on the front.

Word on the street is that, LeEco Le Max 2 Pro will cost ¥2,999 (around $456/€402/Rs. 30,725).

International Business Times India reached out to the LeEco India team to verify if any of the Le Max Pro 2 rumours are true. They refused to comment on the device, but said that the product will be exclusive to the Chinese market.

If LeEco does launch the Le Max 2 Pro powerful configuration (Snapdragon 821, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage) with a low price, it will set a new benchmark for flagship devices in the smartphone industry, not just in 2016, but also for 2017.
