The affordable smartphone market is flooded with new entrants, giving shoppers a wide range of options to choose from. The sub-Rs 15,000 price range has been extremely popular among consumers, and manufacturers are tapping into that by launching competitive devices. LeEco Le 1s is growing to be one of the most popular choices, and here's a comparison of the handset with InFocus M680, which has been priced similarly.

Shopping for a new smartphone can get tricky, especially now that several companies are looking to gain maximum share of attention with slightest upgrades over rivals. If you have narrowed down your smartphone list to a select few, LeEco Le 1s and InFocus M680 are the devices worth checking out. To make it easier, we have compiled a spec-sheet comparison of both the phones.

Design and display

LeEco Le 1s has a premium metal unibody with great looks. It has a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Floating Glass 2.0 technology and ultra-slim bezels. InFocus M680 also has full metal body with an identical look. The handset looks equally appealing and also boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD display.

Processor, RAM and storage

LeEco Le 1s has a 2.2GHz 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor and 3GB RAM to handle tasks seamlessly. In our review of the handset, we found it quite responsive and handled multiple tasks with ease. InFocus M680, on the other hand, is powered by a 64 bit 1.3 GHz Octa-Core processor ( MTK MT6753 chipset) combined with 3GB RAM.

The performance on the Le 1s is expected to be much better than that of InFocus M680. LeEco also beats its rival in the storage department with 32GB onboard memory while InFocus offers 16GB storage. The microSD card support in the M680 can overcome the storage issue.

Camera

Le 1s features a 13-megapixel rear-facing ISOCELL 5P Lens camera with Blue Glass IR filter, f/2.0 aperture, 0.09 second ultra-fast focus speed, PDAF and LED flash. The front camera has a 5MP wide-angle lens for selfies. The camera produced great-to-decent images under different lighting conditions.

As for InFocus M680, camera is the biggest USP for the device. It is powered by 13-megapixel cameras on both sides with f/2.2 aperture and Samsung 3M2 sensor. The rear camera offers different modes such as Motion Track, Live Photo and more.

Software and add-ons

Both phones run on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and support 4G LTE bandwidths. LeEco Le 1s has its own custom eUi skin to make users' experience unique. In addition to that, the Le 1s is equipped with world's first mirror-surfaced fingerprint scanner at the rear and it is quite responsive and accurate. This feature, however, is missing in the M680.

Battery

LeEco Le 1s has a 3,000mAh battery with quick charging capabilities, which according to the company offers 3.5 hours of talk time with just 5 minutes of charge. In our review, we found the handset to charge quite rapidly and deliver decent battery life. There's also a USB Type-C port to connect the charger to the phone, which makes it the cheapest smartphone in the market with the feature.

InFocus M680 has a 2,600mAh battery, but we haven't reviewed the device to tell how long it can last before running out of juice.

Price and availability

Both phones were launched at Rs 10,999, but the M680 now sells for Rs 10,499. In terms of availability, buyers will have better luck purchasing the InFocus M680 as it is available freely without any flash sales on Snapdeal. Sadly, that's not the case with LeEco Le 1s, which is available exclusively on Flipkart and the next sale is on February 9, 2016.

LeEco Le 1s is available only in gold colour while InFocus M680 comes in silver and gold hues.
