Home-grown smartphone maker, Lava International has launched a new handset, dubbed as Iris Win1, in India.

The new Lava Iris Win1 sports 4.0-inch WVGA screen and runs on the Windows Phone 8.1 OS powered by the Snapdragon quad-core CPU with 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory and a 1,950mAh battery.

With the launch of Iris Win1, Lava becomes fifth Indian OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) to offer the Microsoft's Windows Phone OS-based device. It now shares the elite club with its sister firm, Xolo, Micromax, Karbonn and Celkon.

Lava Iris Win1 price and availability details:

As per reports, Lava Iris Win1 will be made available initially on Flipkart for just ₹4,999 on Thursday, 4 December. Details of wider availability of the phone through brick-and-mortar stores across India are awaited from the company in coming days.
