Vin Diesel seems to be particularly excited about his new film "The Last Witch Hunter". The actor is going all out to promote the film on his Facebook page. Much recently, he shared an enthralling still from the movie, where he is seen standing against a fiery backdrop, wearing full battle armour.

The snap has been captioned "The role of Kaulder is like nothing I have ever done before...The Last Witch Hunter, October 23rd 2015!!!"

Diesel plays an immortal witch-hunter, Kaulder, who goes on a mission to save the city from plague. In his endeavour to save the city, he teams up with his nature enemy, female witch, played by "Game of Thrones" actress Rose Leslie.

"The more we film, the more I think you will really enjoy this movie. Kaulder is a very unique and interesting character, who has lived for centuries with one foot in reality and the other in the realm of magic," said Diesel to Screen Rant about his role in the film.

The actor has also compared the film with the modern-day version of "Constantine". The film is currently under production and is being shot in Pittsburgh.

"The Last Witch Hunter" is a mystical action thriller produced by Lions Gate Entertainment. Breck Eisner has been roped in to direct the film. The screenplay is written Cory Goodman and Melisa Wallack. Along with Diesel, the much-anticipated film also stars Sir Michael Caine, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Julie Engelbrecht, Lotte Verbeek and Elijah Wood.

Meanwhile, the 47-year-old actor will also be seen in "Furious 7". He has reprised his role as Dominic Toretto , who is an ex-convict and a skilled street racer. The film also stars late actor Paul Walker and takes off from where "Fast & Furious 6" left off. It is speculated to be a revenge thriller where Ian Shaw (Jason Statham) will try to take down Toretto and his gang, for killing his brother Owen Shaw.

The first trailer of the film was released on 1 November. The film will open in the theatre in April 2015.
