Rise And Fall season 2 is yet another reality show competing with Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 20. While the show has received mixed reactions, it has managed to grab attention with political leaders opening up about their personal lives, sharing relationship secrets and engaging in candid conversations.
Amid mudslinging, candid confessions and fights, Swara Bhasker and Tej Pratap Yadav, son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, have emerged as two of the show's prominent talking points.
In a recent episode, Tej Pratap opened up about his troubled marriage and ongoing divorce battle with estranged wife Aishwarya Rai, the eldest daughter of veteran Bihar politician Chandrika Roy.
When Niharika Tiwari asked him about his divorce, Tej Pratap said that the couple started having arguments within three months of their wedding.
Tej Pratap said, "Ladaai-jhagda ho gaya tha aur kya. Naya-naya shaadi tha ekdum, 3 mahine mein ladaai-jhagda. Hum kuch aur the, woh kuch aur thi. Pressure mein shaadi kar liye the humlog. Uss samay mein mantri tha - Health Minister of Bihar."( I got married in pressure, we used to fight a lot)
Tej Pratap Yadav alleges wife was chatting with her ex-boyfriend
Tej Pratap also recalled an incident that he claimed had contributed to the problems in their marriage. According to him, he had returned home from the Vidhan Sabha one evening and saw Aishwarya chatting with a man whom he alleged was her former boyfriend.
Tej Pratap further claimed that he used to record videos during their arguments, which he said later became evidence in court. He also maintained that men are not always at fault in marital disputes and that women can also be responsible for problems in a relationship.
He further claimed that the arguments made him reluctant to return home. "Ghar jaane ka mann nahi karta tha, kabhi dost ke ghar ruk gaya, toh kabhi kahin chala gaya," he said.
Tej shared that he even caught his then-wife Aishwarya chatting with a former boyfriend and exchanging messages such as "Love you" and heart emojis.

Recalling the incident, he said, "Vidhan Sabha mein gaya hua tha, shaam mein ghar lauta, main bedroom mein aane ke liye entry kar raha tha, toh kisi ladke se chat kar rahi thi woh. Uska koi purana boyfriend tha, usse poora chat kar rahi thi, 'Love you,' poora hearts bhej rahi hai, sab cheez usko bhej rahi hai. Main door se dekh liya poora." ( "I had gone to the Vidhan Sabha and returned home in the evening. As I was entering the bedroom, I saw her chatting with a boy. He was apparently her former boyfriend, and she was chatting with him, saying 'Love you' and sending him heart emojis and other messages. I saw the whole thing from a distance.")
Tej Pratap Yadav and Aishwarya Rai's marriage
Tej Pratap Yadav is the elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi. He married Aishwarya Rai in May 2018 in an arranged marriage. Aishwarya is the daughter of Chandrika Roy, a veteran politician from Bihar.
The marriage encountered serious difficulties within months, and Tej Pratap filed for divorce later in 2018. Their separation subsequently became a widely reported family controversy, with both families remaining in the public eye amid the dispute.
In May 2025, Lalu Prasad Yadav expelled Tej Pratap from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for six years and announced that he was severing family ties with him. The decision followed a now-deleted social media post in which Tej Pratap's account appeared to claim a 12-year relationship with another woman. Tej Pratap later alleged that his account had been hacked and the images manipulated.
His recent revelations on Rise And Fall season 2 have once again brought his personal life and long-running marital dispute into the spotlight.
