The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief, Lalu Prasad Yadav, had a narrow escape after a ceiling fan fell on him during an election rally in Motihari, Bihar on Friday.

The freak accident was caught on the camera. In the video posted by news agency ANI, the ceiling fan installed on the stage can be seen falling on the former chief minister's hand with which he was holding a cup of tea. It missed his head by a few inches.

Ironically, the incident happened while the RJD supremo was complaining about the fan's condition.

This is the second freak accident this week wherein the veteran politician escaped unhurt.

On Tuesday, Yadav had reportedly fallen off a stage after it collapsed during a meeting with the RJD leaders in Arwal as part of his Bihar Assembly election campaign.
