A minor short circuit at the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal in Mumbai triggered brief panic among devotees amid the heavy rush during Ganeshotsav celebrations on Sunday. No injuries were reported in the incident.
According to officials, the incident occurred in a feeder pillar at the crowded pandal. A video purportedly showing sparks and a brief blaze near the pandal's decorations surfaced on social media.
Police and security personnel were seen managing the situation as devotees gathered in large numbers for darshan.
The electrical issue was brought under control promptly, and officials confirmed that no one was injured.
The incident comes amid heightened footfall at Mumbai's major Ganesh pandals during the ongoing 10-day Ganeshotsav, which began on September 14 and will conclude with immersion processions on September 25.

Lalbaugcha Raja, one of Mumbai's most prominent Ganesh idols, has been witnessing large crowds during the festival, with devotees turning up in significant numbers for both Mukh Darshan and the Navsachi queue.
The incident also comes a day after a separate electrocution incident near a Ganeshotsav pavilion in Mumbai's Kalachowki area left two people dead and four injured. Authorities are investigating the cause of that incident.
