After Malayalam actor Aju Varghese, on Thursday 3 September, asked all his fans to guess the lead actress of the upcoming film "Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti" (VTPT), actor Kunchacko Boban unmasked the heroine on Friday.
It is none other than Shamili aka Malootty, who is making her comeback to films with "VTPT". The actress has been cast as lead, opposite Kunchacko Boban.
Shamili, who mesmerised the audience with her performances as child artiste in "Anjali", "Malootty", "Nirnayam", and "Harikrishnans", is the sister of popular actress Shalini and sister-in-law of Tamil superstar Ajith.
The makers have also released the character introduction teaser of Shamili in the film.
Aju on Thursday shared the photo of the actress' eyes, asking the fans to guess the heroine of "VTPT". While many fans identified it as Shamili, there were many others who guessed it would be Parvathy Ratheesh of "Mathura Naranga" fame and "Nee-Na" actress Deepti Sati.
The upcoming film, set in the back drop of a village in the 90's, also has Manoj K Jayan, Ranji Panicker, Aju Vargheese and Saiju Kurup in pivotal roles.
Helmed by Rishi Sivakumar, "Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti" is produced under the banner of Achappoo Movie Magic by Faisal Latheef. While Kunjunni S Kumar has handled the cinematography, newcomer Sooraj S Kurup turns music director for the upcoming film.
Earlier this year, there were reports that the actress will make her comeback to the entertainment industry soon. She had also expressed her desire to act opposite her brother-in-law Thala in future.
She made her acting debut as a lead actress opposite Siddharth in 2009 Telugu drama film "Oye!", for which she won CineMAA Award for Best Female Debut.
