Celebs, before their film releases, often head to a temple to seek blessings. Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon's upcoming film Cocktail 2's trailer was dropped on Tuesday in Mumbai. The trailer launch was attended by her co-stars Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. While the trailer received mixed responses, fans are eager to watch Cocktail, as Gen Z is loving the vibe, especially the recreated version of Tum Hi Ho Bandhu.
Ahead of Cocktail 2's release, Kriti Sanon visited the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple to seek blessings
Vidoes of Kriti Sanon seeking blessings at the Tirumala Temple in Andhra Pradesh along with the film's director Homi Adajania and producer Dinesh Vijan have now gone viral.
The clips show Kriti looking beautiful in a white traditional outfit as she offered prayers at the temple. She kept the dupatta on her head as a mark of respect. During the visit, she followed all temple customs and participated in the rituals.
Kriti was also seen greeting paparazzi with folded hands as she made her way out of the temple. She kept a dupatta on her head and was also seen offering prasad to paps. Rashmika and Shahid weren't part of the temple darshan.
On Tuesday, June 2, at the trailer launch event of Cocktail 2, Kriti addressed rumours about whether the film is based on a lesbian romance and if it portrays Rashmika and Kriti as a lesbian couple.

She said, "It is really sad because, as Dinesh Vijan said, do ladke hote hain toh bromance ho jata hai, and do ladkiyaan hoti hain, toh somehow people don't want to believe they can be friends. Yaa toh inn mein rivalry hai, ya toh kuch aur chal raha hai." ( People think if two female actresses are close, either they are rivals or they are lesbians)
Talking about the movie, Kriti shared in a statement, "What I love about Cocktail 2 is that it feels stylish & visually refreshing, but also very relatable & modern. The relationships are messy, warm, and real in their own way. The characters are beautifully flawed, & the film is a toast to friendship & love from today's lens. And honestly, the music just takes everything to another level!"
Shahid added, "Cocktail 2 is what summer feels like. It has madness, emotion, humour, romance, and a lot of heart. It's the kind of film you want to experience with your friends. We had an amazing time making it, and I think that energy really comes through in the trailer."
Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg, Cocktail 2 is directed by Homi Adajania. The film is slated to release in cinemas on June 19.
Cocktail 2 is the spiritual sequel to the 2012 film Cocktail. The original movie featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in lead roles and went on to become a fan favourite.
