Kapil Sharma's debut film "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon" witnessed tremendous growth during its weekend. The film registered a solid opening weekend at the box office and shattered several movies' record.

"Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon" features a newcomer, Kapil Sharma, but still the film managed to break the records of movies featuring big stars.

Deepika Padukone's "Piku" minted Rs 25.22 crore, Ajay Devgn's "Drishyam" minted Rs 23.05 crore, Hindi version of Prabhas starrer "Baahubali - The Beginning" (Bahubali) raked in Rs 22.35 crore, Varun Dhawan's "Badlapur" raked in Rs 23.5 crore and Ranbir Kapoor's "Roy" minted Rs 28.68 crore.

But Kapil Sharma's film minted Rs 28.81 crore in its opening weekend from the domestic box office.

" #KisKiskoPyaarKaroon packs a SOLID punch, raking ₹ 28.81 cr in its opng wknd in India. The film held consistently well on all 3 days. SUPER!" trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

"Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon" started on a grand note with Rs 10.15 crore first day income. The romantic comedy directed by Abbas-Mustan recorded the eighth highest opening of 2015 and reportedly the highest for a newcomer. The opening day box office collection was huge due to Eid al-Adha holiday across the country, but on the second day, the business dropped slightly.

On Saturday, "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon" minted Rs 8.60 crore, which not only made the producers happy but also the distributors and exhibitors.

And again on Sunday, the business went up by approximately 15 percent. The third day box office collection of Kapil Sharma's film is Rs 10.06 crore.

"Not only is the audience enjoying the laugh-riot, even the distributors of #KisKiskoPyaarKaroon are laughing all the way to the bank," Adarsh tweeted adding, " Those who mocked Abbas-Mustan for deviating from thrillers & opting for a TV star, well, A-M are having the last laugh. #KisKiskoPyaarKaroon."

Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma is delighted with the box office success of his debut film.

"It feels good when your efforts are appreciated. I was not expecting such a positive response," the comedian-actor said during a special screening of the film.

"Thanks to everybody for sending so much love and blessings. 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon' commenced on a very good note and hopefully it will carry on a high note in coming weeks," he added.

Directed by Abbas Mastan, the film features Arbaaz Khan, Manjari Phadnis, Amrita Puri, Simran Kaur Mundi, Elli Avram, Sai Lokur, Varun Sharma, Supriya Pathak, Sharat Saxena, Manoj Joshi, Sharad Sankla (Charlie), and Johnny Lever's daughter Jamie Lever in pivotal roles.
