Ranveer Singh-Parineeti Chopra's "Kill Dil" has witnessed decent growth on the second day at the domestic box office.

"Kill Dil" minted ₹6.85 crore on the opening day and picked up on the second day by raking in approximately ₹7.10 crore. The film's two-day collections amount to ₹13.95 crore at the Indian box office, according to Koimoi website.

However, it failed to see huge jump in collections as expected. If the film continues to perform in this manner, it is expected to earn around ₹20 crore in its opening weekend.

The Ranveer starrer is unlikely to beat the first weekend collections of the actor's "Gunday" and Ram Leela," which amount to over ₹43 crore and ₹52 crore, respectively. However, "Kill Dil" is expected to surpass the first weekend collections of "The Shaukeens", which earned over ₹18 crore.

"Kill Dil," which hit the screens on 14 November, has received average reviews from the critics and the film has failed to garner positive word of mouth. It has performed below average business in key markets like Mumbai and Delhi among others, reported Koimoi.

It needs to be seen if the Ranveer starrer will be able to pick up in the coming days. No big films have released this weekend and so "Kill Dil" is expected to dominate the screens. But, the film is likely to enjoy open run for just a week after which it will be facing competition from Saif Ali Khan's "Happy Ending," which is set to release on 21 November.

Directed by Shaad Ali, "Kill Dil" is a romantic action thriller with Ranveer and Ali Zafar playing the role of professional killers. Parineeti Chopra plays the female lead, while Govinda appears in the role of a mentor who trains Ranveer and Ali in becoming killers.

Critics stated that "Kill Dil" is a regular masala potboiler with nothing new to offer. However, they appreciated Ranveer and Govinda's performance and stated that their acting is the saving grace of the film. The film is Govinda's comeback project and the actor will be seen in a role with negative shades.

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have composed the songs, while Yash Raj Films has produced the romantic action entertainer.
