It seems that there is trouble in the paradise. The recent report suggests that "Scandal" star Kerry Washington is headed for a split with husband Nnamdi Asomugha. The buzz has it that the duo is not spending any time together and is keeping busy with their professional pursuits.

OKmagazine has said in its report that though the couple has been married for a year, they hardly spend any time together.

However, denying the report, Hollywoodlife has said that all is good between the married couple.

"[The divorce is] not happening. They are actually excited for the holidays as a family and have no drama in their lives. Leave that for the TV show!" a source told Hollywoodlife. Washington recently gave birth to her daughter, who is now 8-months-old. Her name is Isabelle.

Washington and Asomugha are known to keep their personal life under wraps. They seldom make any red carpet appearances together. Last year, when Washington's show "Scandal" was nominated for several awards, her husband was nowhere to be seen, as reported by Music Times.

Moreover, Asomugha also missed Washington's Birthday celebrations, which took place last winter. That time he was busy with the Super Bowl.

The 37-year-old actress insists on keeping her life private. "I'm walking around in the world with my ring. And when people say congratulations, I say thank you. But I'm going to continue to not talk about it and just let it unfold," she said to Glamour magazine.

The couple's wedding was an extremely private affair and the celebrations were intentionally kept away from the media glare.

"I don't want to sound smug about it...but the point is to do what's best for me. I have girlfriends in this business, who talk about their personal lives, and it works for them, and I love it. But not for me," she said.

Washington is currently getting ready to star in Amma Asante's next film "Unforgettable." The film tells a story of wife whom her husband's estranged lover tortures. The film also stars Kate Hudson.
