The Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or Class 10 board examination 2017 results have been finally declared after weeks of waiting. It was released on May 5.

Officials had earlier announced that the Kerala SSLC exam 2017 results would be declared by state education minister C Raveendranath at a press event to be held at the PRD chamber in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday.

The pass percentage of this year's Kerala SSLC examination is 95.98 percent compared to 96.59 percent in 2016. Pathananthitta district tops the pass percentage with 98.2 percent, followed by Wayanad with 89.65 percent. The pass percentage in vocational higher secondary is 98.83 percent and a total of 20,967 students got A+ in all subjects, while 1174 schools recorded cent percent pass percentage.

A total of 4,55,906 regular students and 2,588 private students wrote the SSLC examination which was conducted at 2,942 centres in March this year.

The Kerala SSLC examination 2016 result was announced on April 27 with a pass percentage of 96.59% but this year's exam was marred by question paper leakage. The mathematics examination held on March 20 was rescheduled for March 30 after its question paper was leaked.
