Chennai, Nov 24 (ANI): Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy hopes that the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu would understand the concerns over stability of the disputed Mullaperiyar Dam that is shared by both the states. His statement comes after the water level in the dam reportedly touched 142 feet. Chandy said Kerala is concerned about the safety of those residing in the vicinity of the dam and said Tamil Nadu should understand their worries. He added he was aware of the importance of the water for both the states and that sharing was not an issue at all. The Mullaperiyar Dam site is in Kerala, but the reservoir mainly serves Tamil Nadu.
