The recently-released movies in Kerala have been performing well at the box office and it is evident from the massive collection that the films have earned. Among the films, Mohanlal's Pulimurugan has taken the top spot and become the biggest grosser in the state.

According to trade analysts, Pulimurugan, the action thriller helmed by Vysakh, has raked in more than Rs 50 crore from Kerala. Currently, the Mohanlal-starrer has been placed on the second spot at multiplexes in Kochi and at the US box office, by minting Rs 2.89 crore in 26 days. The film has also crossed Rs 1.5 crore mark at Ariesplex in Thiruvananthapuram.

The big-budget action thriller bankrolled by Tomichan Mulakupaadam is now set to rock the theatres in the UAE and GCC on November 3, and all over Europe on November 4.

Thoppil Joppan

Mammootty's Thoppil Joppan, which clashed with Pulimurugan, has earned a gross amount of Rs 14.10 crore in 24 days of its theatrical run in Kerala. The comedy entertainer directed by Johny Anton has, however, fallen short of the Mohanlal-starrer despite opening to positive response from the audience.

Aanandam

Actor-director Vineeth Sreenivasan's debut production venture Aanandam, released on October 21, has been garnering fabulous response from movie-goers in Kerala. The campus entertainer, directed by debutant Ganesh Raj, has grossed approximately Rs 4.78 crore in 10 days of its good run in Kerala despite being a movie starring seven newcomers in the lead roles. It has earned Rs 82.35 lakh from five multiplexes in Kochi.

Oppam

The 53 days gross collection of Mohanlal's crime thriller Oppam is said to be Rs 40.28 crore. It is the fifth biggest grosser in Kerala.

Other languages

Among the other languages, Diwali releases Kaashmora and Kodi have also been performing well at the Kerala box office. While Karthi's epic supernatural comedy thriller is said to have earned Rs 1.77 crore, Dhanush's political thriller has made an approximate business of Rs 67 lakh from Kerala.
