The launch of Amitabh Bachchan's much-awaited "Kaun Banega Crorepati" Season 8 received a massive response. For the first time, the hit quiz show stepped out of its set and was shot at a stadium in Surat.

Bachchan entertained his fans by his dance moves and comedy king Kapil Sharma pulled off genuine laughs using his incredible comic-timing. Singer Neeti Mohan, Meiyang Chang and Anirrudh Dave were among the night's performers, according to a Times of India report.

The senior actor, who was overwhelmed with the launch's success, took to Twitter to shower praises on Sharma. He tweeted, "T 1564 - To my dear friend Kapil Sharma, a most grateful thanks for last night..he made the KBC show, look incredible."

Later in the day, ace comedian returned the favour by expressing his gratitude on the micro-blogging network. He tweeted, "If u want to know how legends r made.. Go n watch mr @SrBachchan Just experience him at work.Never ending Dedication energy n enthusiasm."

Sharma, who was the first celebrity guest of KBC8, had earlier invited Bachchan to "Comedy Nights with Kapil" for the promotion of the supernatural comedy film "Bhoothnath Returns".

First with its heart-warming commercials and now with significant changes in the lifelines, "KBC 8" promises to be different reality show this season. TOI states, according to the fresh rules that a contestant can seek help from a panel of three experts (who will be known as the 'Triguni') who will provide the right answers along with a suitable background. The other new addition is called 'Code Red.' In this, the participants' family can press a buzzer and give a hint to the contestants that they should quit.

Sony Entertainment Television will air the grand premiere on 17 August from 8:30 pm onward. The timings of the new season are - Monday to Thursday, 8:30 pm.
