There were reports that Katrina Kaif was heard calling Ranbir Kapoor's father Rishi Kapoor "papa" at a party. While Ranbir himself denied the rumours, the veteran actor has now rubbished the buzz in his own style.

In a recent interview, Rishi Kapoor was asked about Ranbir and Katrina's relationship. The senior Kapoor had some words of praise for Ranbir's girlfriend, and also talked about reports of Katrina calling him "papa".

"Why am I always being dragged into his private life? Okay, but I am not the sort to duck questions. As far as I am concerned, Katrina has been very well behaved. I worked with her in 'Namaste London'. She is pretty and hardworking. A newspaper reported that she has started calling me 'papa'. Rubbish, she would not dare take such liberties with me," Rishi Kapoor told The Quint.

Meanwhile, there was also a buzz that things are not smooth between Ranbir and Katrina, owing to his closeness with Deepika Padukone during the promotions of "Tamasha". Gossip-mongers also suggest the duo might break up. However, looks like everything is fine between the couple as Katrina was recently spotted at the Kapoors' family lunch on Christmas.

It was completely a family affair, and Katrina being part of the event gave rise to speculations of marriage in the near future.
