Katrina Kaif Angry After Being Replaced by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan?

Bollywood is no stranger to catfights, and the newest rivals to join list are Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It seems the former Miss World replaced Katrina in a brand endorsement without the latter's knowledge.

According to reports, the decision to feature Aishwarya in the real estate advert has not gone down too well with the "Zindegi Mile Na Dobara" actress, who was supposed to be the face of the campaign.

"Ash's name was announced with great fanfare. But it was actually Kat who had been approached first and she had even signed the dotted lines. However, the contract got stuck for some unknown reason and she was unceremoniously dropped from the project," a source told Mid Day.

When contacted, Katrina's spokesperson refused to give any detail saying, "Kat is approached by many brands and it is not possible to sign all of them. It is not fair to discuss any names."

However, the tabloid quoted a friend of the actress as saying that "Kat had no idea she had been replaced by Ash," which is enough to set the tongues wagging.

The real estate company said that Katrina had indeed been approached but the deal could not be struck due to the some clauses.

"We were in discussions with various individuals and could not proceed with Katrina due to certain clashes in her positioning vis-a-vis our brand positioning. The discussions with her took place in May and early June," confirmed the company spokesperson.

While catfights and cold stares are common among actresses when it comes to professional competition, one cannot forget the famous war-of-words that ensued when Sonam Kapoor called Aishwarya 'Aunty' post grabbing the face of French cosmetics major. Sonam went a notch higher as she replaced both Katrina and Aishwarya as the ambassador of a coveted beauty soap recently.
