Srinagar, June 16 (ANI): Kashmir, once dubbed the Switzerland of the east, has not been spared by the heat wave conditions that have hit the northern parts of India. With mercury going northwards, residents of Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, have started buying air-conditioners and coolers, the use of which was once unheard of in the cool hill station, in their homes for some respite. Shopkeepers said the demand for cooling products has increased significantly in the last few years. The temperature in Kashmir is currently hovering above 30 degrees Celsius.
